Sea World!

We had the best day yesterday! We went to Sea World for Chloe's b'day. It was supposed to be rainy all day, and it was overcast in the morning, but we decided to go anyways for as long as we could. Well, the weather turned out to be perfect! Even though we could see clouds up in the sky, they never seemed to pass over Sea World! We went to the dolphin, Shamu, and Pets Rule! shows. We also went to see the sharks - a must for Chloe. Brad and Sarah went on the roller coaster ride Journey to Atlantis. Sarah loved it! She also enjoyed seeing their picture afterwards as they came down the hill towards the big splash. She said her hair was flying straight upwards! Kyle even really seemed to enjoy himself. He loves being outside in his stroller checking things out.

In the evening Brad and I were able to go out to dinner to celebrate our 8th anniversary! (Which is really tomorrow - but that's family night.) We left the kids with the family of a guy who Brad has worked with quite a bit over at Point Loma. They were really nice to watch them for us. The girls have always been pretty easy with babysitters, but not Kyle. He really gets separation anxiety. We were only gone for 2 hours, and although they said he cried and fussed while we were gone, he wasn't crying when we picked him up, so that was good!

Today was a pretty regular Sunday. Kyle, Brad and I all had naps after church while the girls played quietly. They actually got along for almost the whole time! We also filled out postcards from Sea World to send out. The girls are having fun writing to their friends - although they are both still waiting to hear back from them.

Oh, and Sarah said something funny today. We were goofing around and in response to something she said, "splat my dinkers!" I don't know where she came up with that, but it really cracked us up.

This week is parent-teacher conferences as Sarah's school so she gets done at 12:45 every day. Then she will have the next 3 weeks off. We'll have to start going to the zoo or something! I'm sure we'll spend lots of time over at the park as well.
