Bedtime and the beach

I'm on today to try to add a couple more pictures from our beach trip this past Saturday. Not much has happened yesterday or today. Our biggest news is that Kyle has now slept through the night 6 nights in a row!!! I think he may be over waking up in the night. (Knock on wood!)Now we are working on getting him to lay down without first sleeping on me for an hour. He just does not like the idea of going to bed. He had a total meltdown last night, but I know we can get through this! Hopefully with our sanity in tact!

This first picture is one of Brad and Kyle.
We tried putting his toes in the sand and then Brad walked him down to the water. Kyle didn't like either. Brad said he REALLY didn't like the ocean. We'll keep trying. Having the weather warm up may help a bit. Kyle loves being in the bathtub. But then, the bathtub water doesn't come and get you!

This next picture is of the girls as mermaids. They wanted Brad to bury their legs in the sand and then Brad got a little creative. They had a blast. You can also just barely see Kyle and I having a nap up at the top of the picture. After deciding he didn't care for the ocean, he gave up on the beach and thought a nap on Mom would be better. I was just glad for an excuse to just lay there and try to get some sun on my lily white legs!

Have I mentioned how Chloe is constantly pretending to be Harry Potter? We bought the #4 DVD a while back. We though Chloe would really like the dragon scene - since she loves dragons and dinosaurs. Well, we couldn't have been more right. Now she is constantly saying, "Pretend Harry Potter...this" and "Pretend Harry Potter...that". It gets a little old at times, but it's pretty funny. I wonder if when she's old enough to really see or read Harry Potter if she'll remember playing it? I'm sure I'll have to remind her.

That picture of Brad and Kyle is way cute. I like Kyle's hat!

Brad is so creative. I bet the girls had a ball with the mermaid tails! Good Dad!

I wish we could have a beach weekend. That sounds like a lot of fun!
