Complaining

So I've been complaining a lot today. Mostly in my head (I hope) but vocally too. I get so frustrated on Sundays when people don't do what they said they would do. Or at least, tell someone that they won't be able to be there/help out that day. Grrrr!

But as the day has gone on, I've been thinking about my own slacker-butt. I'm staring at 3 baskets of laundry. Two are folded and ready to be put away, but I've put if off for 3 days now. One is still waiting to be folded (but at least only for a day). There are 2 days worth of dishes in the kitchen waiting for me. I know that there are plenty of things in my calling at church that I forget to do, slack off, or procrastinate until the last minute. I've been too lax with getting the girls to help out around the house this summer. We still haven't started back up with piano lessons.

So why am I complaining about everyone else???

I am so with you on both sides of this issue!

It's less depressing to complain about other people. :)

I have folded laundry all over my house - so I'm totally with you on that one!

I know for me it is easier to see others faults than our own...even when they are staring us in the face. I have 4 clean loads of laundry waiting to be folded/put away too.

I so hear ya! And if it makes you feel any better, my laundry sitation is ten time worse than yours!! :)

I hear ya, Courtney! I find that I complain more in general when I am frustrated with myself, usually at the things I see that I haven't been doing but feel overwhelmed to start doing. I'm feeling a bit that way right now and I think the best remedy is to start doing something, anything, which helps build momentum and brings back that sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. But not yet, I want to procrastinate just a little bit more!

I'm blaming on the %*#&@(# heat you have been having. That is what I have claimed all summer. Fooling myself... probably!
