Brad and I were sitting up here just a little while ago, enjoying the peace and quiet of a house where all the kids are in bed. Then Brad's head perks up in that way where I know he's listening to a sound that he is trying to discern. I started listening too, and soon we could both hear a faint, high-pitched howl - coming from the girls' room.
Brad goes down to investigate/tell them to be quiet and comes back up with this report...
"Sarah was in her bed singing Angels We Have Heard on High. She was singing the 'glorias' and Chloe was providing the dog accompaniment."

Don't you all have kids who sing hymns in their beds while the other pretends to be a dog howling along??

It's nice that Sarah just kept singing. At our house "howling along" would probably initiated all out war.
Actually, I can totally see my kids doing that. Funny what strikes kids as fun to do!
Love those girls!
That really made me laugh! I'm glad you wrote that one down. How funny!
I tell ya, that's great sister bonding time! My sister and I used to lie in bed at night trying to call each other the most creative names. I, being younger and less knowledgeable, was confined to animal, vegetable names while my sister was calling me weird diseases and other biological organisms. We also had a game where we'd try to figure out what body part was being scratched based on the sound it made. These games were done post-lights out. Ahhh, howling. That's a great story!
P.S. We still think its fun to try to sing a song together in different keys.
