Binky Update

Taking away Aaron's binky went much more smoothly than I thought it would.  His first nap was difficult and he woke up after an hour feeling sad and frustrated.  I was sure that his first night would be a long, bumpy road.  I had Kyle sleep down in the girls' room.  He was thrilled with getting to have a sleepover and I felt better knowing that Aaron wouldn't be waking him up throughout the night.  I braced myself for sleepless night and hours rocking him in the chair.  Much to my surprise, Aaron slept all through the night without fussing once!  He's not a morning person though.  When he did wake up, he was sad and wanting his binky.  When I told him they were all gone he got really mad at me, growled, and then ran off to be comforted by someone else.  The next nap and nighttime sleeps went pretty much the same way.  Then on day three, he napped for 3 straight hours.  Woohoo!  We were back to normal!  Now he occasionally asks for his binky, but I just tell him that they are all gone and he then goes about his business.  He doesn't even growl at me anymore.  He's also talking more and more.  Another plus!

Cute pic! He is starting to look more grown. Could it be the absence of the binky? Ha ha.

That's wonderful that it was relatively painless. It's also hilarious that he growled at you! =)
