Almost Gone!

I can't believe it, but it is only 10:30 pm and we are completely packed and ready to go on our vacation! Mom's house and Bear Lake - here we come! Brad is about to shave his head and I need to do the dishes, but then we're off to bed. Hooray! Usually we are up 'til midnight or so with all the packing and "tetris-ing" to make everything fit. Maybe it helped that this time we are taking the car topper and the trailer to hold all of our stuff.

Chloe getting warm by laying on the hot, dry sand:One boring detail, as I was packing I realized that we really need to get some new luggage. If not for us, then at least for the kids. Our old set was falling apart and so out of 3 suitcases, we're down to 1. Then we have 2 duffle bags. Needless to say, I had to get a little creative and ended up packing some stuff in our reusable Fred Meyer bags! At least this way, everything is sorted: stuff for traveling, stuff for my mom's house, stuff for Bear Lake.

I think I may go through some email and blogging withdrawals while I'm away. I'm hoping to quench that with a good book or two!
