Snow!

Yes, that's right! It snowed here in Port Orchard, WA! We don't get this very often so the kids have been thrilled! It snowed Saturday night and all day Sunday. Since then it's been below freezing so we still have plenty on the ground. We went out Sunday morning and the kids couldn't wait to get into it. Kyle was unsure but only for a few seconds. Then he was happy to be walking around in his boots. I had to put socks on his hands because we don't have any gloves for him. Brad kept saying, "Oh, we don't have a snow shovel," and "Oh, we don't have sleds for the kids." Luckily a couple of our neighbors had sleds. Some of you may have heard how Chloe and Kyle almost slid under a truck. Well, I guess they did go under it a but fortunately, Chloe put her hands up and caught the bumper. Plus they weren't going too fast when they hit either. Both were okay. I think the parents were more traumatized!

Here is a picture of our house with snow. We got a few Christmas lights up the day before. We spent Sunday afternoon putting up the rest of our Christmas decorations and tree. Of course, we found more lights as we unpacked things! I'm hoping we'll get out in a few more days to put them up.

This next picture is of the girls, Kyle and their friend Lexi on crazy clothes day. This was the day before Thanksgiving. I helped the girls pick out their outfits and it was probably the first time I've helped Sarah with her clothes in the last year that there have been no arguements or comprimises!!!! Imagine that. If I'd only known sooner that I just needed to dress her like a clown! Chloe wore her pink and brown runners which looked just fabulous with those striped tights of hers! Kyle wasn't dressed crazy, but as soon as I told the girls to stand for a picture, he had to be in on the action. Of course, when I'm trying to photograph him, he won't stand still!

We had a great Thanksgiving. Brent and Ash came over and I think we had the best dinner ever! The turkey turned out great and Brent made his famous rolls. Ash made yummy pumpkin pie. It really was the best. Of course, we had to watch the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving shows that Brent has on DVD. Chloe laughed her head off watching Snoopy wrestle with a folding lawn chair. I think that was the funniest part of the show!
