Sarah and Chloe took advantage of this and spent time reading to him. Sarah was thrilled that he would snuggle up to her. You can see in the picture how Kyle's cheeks are all flushed.

This picture is the next day or so when Kyle was starting to feel a little bit better. Brad thought Chloe looked like a little mother in her apron and reading to Kyle. Kyle loves books, but he is a lot rougher on them than the girls ever were put together! He's already torn apart a couple of board books. His favorite is the one in the picture with Sarah. It's got all sorts of trucks in it. Ash gave it to him for his birthday.

Brad has been working on our pantry. We had a z-shaped wall separating our kitchen and living room. We thought it would make much more sense to turn it into a pantry since our kitchen is a little on the small side. After going with Brent to buy some 2 x 4s, Brad came home and did a little "exploring" to see what he was up against. Since then he's gotten it framed, hung the door, sheetrocked, taped, and is halfway through with the mudding. It really looks like a pantry now! He's got tomorrow off so I'm sure that he'll get a lot more finished then. You can see on the right
what the wall looked like on the kitchen side with half of the sheet rock ripped out. Kyle enjoyed walking through the framing once all the sheetrock was gone. He also really liked getting into Brad's tools. That has been the hardest part of having construction in the center of the house - how to keep Kyle out of the middle of it all! Thankfully, we are nearly done. Once the pantry is finished we are going to paint it, the hall and the entryway. We've realized that all of this painting will need to be done at night after the kids go to bed to cut down on spreading the paint all over the house. I'm not looking forward to doing it, but I am looking forward to the finished product!
