Summer break

I've been trying to think of what is new since I last posted. Not a whole lot. Sarah has finished up school and is now officially on her summer break. I'm enjoying not having to go outside in all my early morning beauty to walk her to school at 7:30 am! Both she and Chloe have been playing together really well. That always makes me happy when they are getting along and being such good friends.

This is a cute picture of the kids from back in April. Sorry, I haven't taken any new ones of all of them lately! I need to keep up with that.

Kyle is on a pretty good nap schedule right now, but it may all change when we start taking the girls to swimming lessons next week. We finally figured a way to get him to be happy during 9:00 am church this past Sunday. I put him down at 8:00 am for a short nap until it is time to leave the house. That was enough to tide him over until after lunch for his afternoon nap. Much better results than skipping the morning nap - or trying to get him to take one during church! I may have to try that with the swimming lessons. They don't start until 10:30 am so hopefully things will go well with that.

I know the girls are really looking forward to their swimming lessons. Sarah has been getting much better on her own just in the past couple of weeks. Chloe is also getting better. She now dares to swim around with her noodle. Earlier in the summer she didn't even dare to get off of the steps. I'm sure she'll do great after her lessons.

The next two Sundays Brad and I will be substituting in the Nursery. I am actually very excited. We get to take Kyle in with us! I'm thinking church will be so much easier with him in there. I guess we'll see after the first time though. The nice thing is that we don't have to prepare the lesson or anything. It's a big nursery so I know they can really use our extra help, but it's nice to not have to do anything before or after!

I'm getting excited to go home in a month and get started on really putting our house together. Plus Mom is going to come and visit for the end of July so that will be great too! I'm sure we'll make an IKEA run and maybe even up to The Container Store. (Unfortunately we'll have to go all the way to Bellevue for that one.) I've been thinking a lot about all the things to do once we get home, but that is about all I can do about it while we're down here. It makes me feel like I have this huge to-do list that I'm slacking on, but I know it will all work out. I'm trying to just enjoy my free time here while I have free time (ahh-naps!).
