That was my little Chlo-bug back when she was 4 months old. This past Sunday, Chloe turned 9! Wow - the time really does fly!!
Most of her birthday festivities took place that evening. We started out by having quiche lorraine for dinner. (Good pick, Chloe!)

Then she opened her presents. We took this shot of her laying next to her gifts to show how big one of them was. (It was a desk.)

Brent and Ash gave her this plaque to hang in her room. It has a picture of the Laie Hawaii temple and says, "I'm going there someday."

They also gave her some pears. Chloe loves pears. Her expression cracks me up. hee hee

Aaron gave her some little tin boxes. Chloe loves containers to put "treasures" in. Kyle gave her a whole bunch of flower seeds to plant in the garden plot that I'm letting her have this year. Sarah gave her these slipper boots. She keeps asking if she can wear them to school.

Gramma Curtis sent her this butterfly garden. The live butterfly larvae arrived in the mail the very next day. (Good timing, Gramma!) I'm sure we'll be hatching more than one set of caterpillars this year. She was very excited about this gift.

Big Grandpa and Grandma Suzie sent Chloe some money to go shopping with. We'll be in Utah next week, and so Grammy Brown will be taking Chloe on a birthday lunch and shopping date. I can't wait to see what she chooses!
After gifts, we had dessert. The menu? Brownie sundaes! Yum!!

We love you, Chloe!

Tell Chloe Happy Birthday from us. Looks like she got some great presents. She's lucky to have a mom who can make such fancy birthday dinners!
Mmmmm, brownie sundaes. That sounds really good right now! Happy birthday, Chloe! Looks like it was a fab day!
In all fairness, I need to mention that Brad is the one who made her dinner of choice. He's a great cook!

Those butterfly houses are so much fun! We once got one on clearance for $5!
What a cutie pie baby she was!
Did you show her our hatching butterfly pictures on my blog? It was really surprisingly fun, even for me!
What a big girl she has grown into from that little button of a start! Next year is the "big double digits" - how can that be? Happy 9th Birthday.
